Stafford Allowing Fitness Centers to Operate Outdoors

STAFFORD — On July 31, Mayor Greg Myhre and Police Chief Tom Dellane signed an executive which allows Stafford fitness centers to offer outdoor activities.

The Township is allowing tents at fitness centers to try to make it easier for gyms and fitness centers to operate during Covid-19,

Fitness centers and gyms are not permitted to bring their equipment outside but customers can bring their own equipment if the fitness center allows it. Tents will be installed at several gyms in Stafford Township to have fitness activities outside such as yoga, karate, etc.

Gov. Murphy ordered the closure of gyms and other businesses in March.  Some gyms closed permanently in our area such as Trident Fitness and Tilton Fitness Center due to the Murphy’s restriction.
